MISSION

Nobles Medical Technologies™ II is innovating the tools physicians have at their disposal for vascular and cardiovascular suturing. NMT2 is committed to to the design and development of revolutionary solutions to structural heart disease.  Our technologies are designed to bring physicians the tools to improve patient outcomes, the overall clinical experience, and subsequent quality of life which is central to our mission.

These goals can only be fulfilled by working in concert with the world’s most forward-looking doctors.  Nobles Medical Technologies™ II continues its far-reaching, global expansion of our technologies beginning with the NobleStitch™ EL.  To date, more than 600 patients have been treated in the UK, United States, Germany, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Turkey and Italy.

Officers and ​Board of Directors

Nobles Medical Technologies™ II has a seasoned group of business experts advising the management team.  Several of these top business men from the key areas of the medical device field are members of the NMT2 The Board of Directors within the company are as follows:

Professor Anthony Nobles, Chairman of Board of Directors and CEO
Prof. Nobles developed his first medical device in the early 1980’s.  Since that time, his work has yielded in excess of 156 medical-devices, covered by more than 70 patents world-wide—more than virtually any other single individual in the world.  Among his achievements are some of the most widely adopted devices, now marketed through top medical-device manufacturers such as Boston Scientific and Johnson & Johnson.
Prof. Nobles has also lectured or presented at a wide array of global conferences and universities, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Vascular Surgery, the American College of Neurosurgery, the Congress on Congenital & Structural Interventions, the Paris Meeting on Revascularizations, Harvard Medical School, USC School of Healthcare, UCLA Medical School of Business, and the West Sachsen University of Zwickau.

Richard Bjorkman, President & Chief Financial Officer
​Mr. Bjorkman has more than 25 years of experience in Corporate Accounting and Financial Management Consulting. He has served as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Controller, and Project Manager. He has provided accounting and consulting services to clients in various industries, including multi-unit retail and distribution; high tech with both software licensing and box software, and life sciences industries in both private and public companies. He has experience working with both small businesses and Fortune 500 companies and has been involved in the integration of mergers and acquisitions; bringing order and structure to disorganized accounting departments; and training and developing accounting staff to perform above their basic functions.
Mr. Bjorkman attended California State University Long Beach where he received his BS degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting. After graduating, he earned his CPA certification while working for 5 years as an auditor with KPMG in their Los Angeles office. Mr. Bjorkman also received a certificate from the Managerial Policy Institute given by the Office of Executive Programs; Graduate School of Business Administration at USC.


Richard Babcock, Member of the Board and Chief Counsel​
Richard J. Babcock, Founding Partner. Mr. Babcock is a corporate attorney with more than 26 years of experience in public and private mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financings, as well as IPO’s, follow-on public offerings, PIPEs, and registered offerings. He has worked on more than 150 public and private mergers and acquisitions, ranging in size from several million dollars to more than $1 billion. His practice also includes advising companies and their Boards of Directors and senior management teams on a broad range of general corporate and governance matters.

Mr. Babcock has served as NMT2’s outside corporate counsel since its inception in 2009, and has served as a member of the NMT2 Board since 2010.  Mr. Babcock founded Babcock & Associates in 2005, and has served as the managing member since its inception.  Mr. Babcock is a leading corporate advisor, and has more than 27 years of experience providing advice to emerging growth and middle market companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financings, as well as initial public offerings and follow-on offerings. His legal practice also includes providing advice to companies and their boards of directors on a broad range of general corporate and governance matters. Mr. Babcock’s clients have ranged from privately-held entrepreneur grown companies, to large, well-established public companies. He serves as general counsel to many of his clients and their management and boards of directors, helping to shape and execute their business strategies and advising them on day-to-day legal and other strategic issues.  In his earlier practice, Mr. Babcock was a partner at the international law firms of McDermott, Will & Emery, Morrison & Foerster, and Sheppard Mullin.  Mr. Babcock is 54 years of age.

​Ben Brosch, Member of Board of Directors
Mr. Brosch is the former President of NMT2 and had served as the President from 2012 – 2016, and has served as a Director since 2012.  Mr. Brosch has over 35 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing and management, with more than 18 years of experience in the Med-Device space. Mr. Brosch is a named inventor on several patents for innovative medical devices in the fields of general surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, ObGyn, cardiac surgery and cardiology.  Mr. Brosch has cofounded and served as an executive of several Med-Device companies.  Mr. Brosch is 66 years of age.

​Antoine Felicelli, Member of the Board of Directors
Mr. Felicelli is currently serving as a Founding Partner of Bond Central LTD that acts as an arranger in securitization projects, and has served in such capacity since its inception in April 2017.  Form 2012 until April 2017, Mr. Felicelli served as the CFO & COO and Board Member of Union Capital Group SA, an independent financial institution specializing in the trading and brokerage of structured products and cash equity.  Prior to 2012, Mr. Felicelli served as the Managing Director of Union Investment Real Estate France, the French subsidiary of the Hamburg-based real estate asset manager and was responsible for the management of a EUR 3 billion French portfolio.  Mr. Felicelli was appointed to the Board in August 2015, to fill a vacancy on the Board.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from ESSEC Business School. Mr. Felicelli is 35 years of age.

CLINICAL ADVISORY BOARD
Nobles Medical Technologies™ II collaborates with several internationally renowned physicians when designing and implementing its products and technologies.  Several of these top physicians from the key areas of clinical practice are members of the NMT2 Clinical Advisory Board.
Dr. Michael Mullen, Interventional Cardiologist
Dr.  Mullen is Consultant Cardiologist at The Heart Hospital, University College London Hospitals where he has setup and is lead for the Structural Heart Intervention program.

In Memory of Dr. John Crew
Vascular Surgeon who passed away this year from stroke, the very disease he was helping to reduce with his efforts at Nobles Medical 2.

Dr. Crew, was a vascular surgeon and medical director of Seton’s Advanced Wound Care Center, Vascular Surgery (Board Certified), Endovascular Procedures, Peripheral Angioplasty. He serves as the Director of Cardiovascular Surgical Research for the San Francisco Heart Institute at Seton Medical Center. Dr. Crew also held several patents for suturing and device design._

Dr. William Cohn, Cardiac Surgeon

Dr. Cohn is the Director, Center for Technology and Innovation; Associate Director, Laboratory Surgery Research in the Center for Cardiac Support; Co-director, Cullen Cardiovascular Research Laboratory Texas Heart Institute at CHI St. Luke’s Health - Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.

Prof. Dr. med Jan-Peter Warnke, Neuro Surgeon
Prof. Dr. Warnke is Chief of Neurosurgery for Paracelsus Klinken in Zwickau Germany. Dr. Warnke serves as Professor at the West Sächsen Höchscule in Zwickau.
